Mark Desjardins formed Twister after he left Titan in 1979. They toured the Maritimes under the management of Bruce Hudson. When Higney left, blues singer/harp player Bill Briand was brought in to replace him. With the band going into a blues direction, Mark changed the name to The Water Street Blues Band.
