Joker's Wild was formed in the summer of 1989 by Christine Bonzant and had a solid 12 month run. Playing all over the maritimes they covered such acts as Lee Aaron, Skid Row, Motley Crue, etc... Being selected as one of the five finalists for Q104's HomeGrown 90 enabled them to record two original tracks that appeared on the HomeGrown 90 cassette. The bands highlight was an all original performance for the July 1st 1990 "Concert on the Hill" to decide the HomeGrown winner. Shortly after Christine Bonzant left followed by drummer Karl Anderson. The band continued on for a few months under the name J.K. Wild with guitarist Peter Dolomont taking on the vocal duties and replacement drummer Chris McIssac. Garth Blake and Ron Melanson went on to form Jack Butler. |
