The Fendermen were a cover band around Halifax in the mid to late sixties. They were heavy on the three-part harmonies. Material consisted of Motown music like "If I Could Build My Whole World Around You" by Marvin Gaye and Tammy Terrell; "I Second That Emotion" by Smokey Robinson and The Miracles - also tunes by Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons as well as Van Morrison. They played high school and church hall dances. |
